Health & Hygiene Program
One other important part of our health program is education and training on good health and hygiene habits, for both the children and staff. Our intent is to establish life-long habits that will aid in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

PBT is committed to improving the physical health and well-being of the orphanage children and staff. Healthy bodies promote growth, and the development of healthy minds. In 2012, PBT began a partnership with the Vietnam Nurse Project, from the University of San Francisco School of Nursing. The focus was to complete physical exams of the children and staff, establish a health baseline, and create medical charts that documented in both Vietnamese and English for each child. Each year since, volunteers with the VNP have joined PBT at the orphanage for the children's annual physical exam. PBT funds medical expenses for the children who require additional evaluation and treatment by a specialist.
